Waaaaah!! iTunes won't let me download "City." ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) It says, "You have to buy that in the UK store," (duh) and it throws me over to the UK store. Then when I try to buy it, it says "That's a US account", and it immediately bounces me back to the US store. But in some countries you just don't have the option to buy things of iTunes. My only way to get City is to illegally download it. I'm starting to think this is my only option as well. I hate to do it, but sometimes you do what you gotta do. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) (See, this is why I hate download only! I really hope they never do this again.)

i got it from the german itunes store is the album out officially in the us yet? maybe you gotta wait until then After some fresh research, I've discovered that the US release of TFIM will be July 5, and not sometime in the fall, as I had previously seen. (I couldn't remember where I saw that, but it was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Might've been the same source that said "a physical release is planned for later this year." Ha! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ) Anyway, this is one time where I'm very happy to be wrong! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) And you're probably right. I will check back with iTunes once the album is released here.

I dont know if they've ever dreamed of being under Beyonce but looks like they might be That reminded me of a tweet from John Bishop who was standing side of stage watching her - he said 'Beyonce just blew me away, I have always wanted to say that!' Totally off topic, but it made me laugh.

So I didn't really dig these physical release tracks, but I can now say I pretty much love them all... apart from 'Things Change'.
'Child of the Jago' has really grown on me, it's the first track I'll listen to now.
Thinking of the overal concept, it really did suit these 20 tracks... and totally see the reasoning that you'll give an album more time if you have invested in it. Well done Chiefs.

I completely agree, on first listen for a vast majority of the tunes I wasn't overly impressed, however over time (after finally investing some time in it) most of the songs have really grown on me - Out Of Focus and Long Way From Celebrating particularly. Some of my favourites aren't on the physical release (so it means a lot of CD switching in the car! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ) I love Problem Solved, and Can't Mind My Own Business. But the creme de la creme I have to say is Kinda Girl You Are - oh yes! In general, very good job done I have to say.

OK, US iTunes officially sucks. TFIM was released here a couple of days ago, and they still don't have it. WTF? ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) You know what that means. Hope this doesn't sound stupid (famous last words!) but were the songs on the physical release of TFIM picked because of their popularity on the "make your own album" site? Or were they the songs the Kaisers wanted on there? A lot of media I have read seem to be saying that the physical release is based on the picks from the fans (ie from the site) but I haven't read or heard anything from the actual band to say otherwise? I just assumed they were the Kaisers faves and had nothing to do with fan preference. Any thoughts?

From all the interviews and that I've seen/heard is that they had the selection picked before the site had gone up, and that they really wanted the physical release to be based on their own choice, not the fans top selection. So yeah, was more about the songs Chiefs wanted the fans to hear the most.

Plus most people seem to have Problem Solved on their albums but its not on the CD version so it shows that it wasn't decided on popularity

Thanks for the replies Miss Sarah and Blonde. I figured as much but can not understand how they couldn't have put My Place is Here on the physical release - I adore that song - such amazing lyrics! Obviously they don't love it as much. And Problem Solved - so catchy, find myself and my 4 year old daughter singing it at the most odd times! Bottom line is I guess everyone's taste is different!

Didn't Nick say in an interview that seeing as Problem Solved was so popular and downloaded so many times, would people really need it again on the physical release?
Might be losing my marbles though.

OK, US iTunes officially sucks. TFIM was released here a couple of days ago, and they still don't have it. Not sure what you are talking about. The import cd is available from U.S. amazon store, but there has been no U.S. release of the cd or digital download. I ordered my cd directly from amazon uk, (which is almost always cheaper than ordering imports from the U.S. amazon store, even paying shipping (it sucks that my prime membership doesn't apply to orders from the UK store), and it finally arrived yesterday. It would be cool if there eventually was a U.S. physical cd release that perhaps contained some of the other tracks. Or at least I'd somehow like to get the full bandwidth (uncompressed) versions of the other 9 tracks. Actually, I guess you can't say that cd audio is uncompressed - it still is compressed into 16 bit samples, (32-bit digital audio would be better), but I assume that's a discussion not many are interested in. In any case, I'd be very willing to pay more money for those songs again in full cd audio quality.

Thanks markj, but I'm not looking for the CD. I want the song "City," which is an iTunes download only. Someone had said that it may be available for download on the same day the CD was released (which in the US was July 5th.) But US iTunes didn't have TFIM at all when I checked, which was July 7th. I've checked back since then, and they still don't have it.

modflower - i purchased "City" yesterday from the Aussie iTunes store - are you able to access and buy from there maybe if US iTunes isn't playing the game?

Actually the Aussie iTunes store finally, finally has "Take My Temperature" for single purchase - have been looking for the single forever but have been too stingy to pay for a copy of an import cd where it appeared. Needless to say, it was $2.19 well spent - it has been my driving music for the past two days! :0)

Finally got my hands on Kinda Girl You Are and City. City is good but definitely feels like a b-side. Kinda Girl You Are is a good rocker but nothing earth shattering. Still, I'm pleased.

Although in interviews they seem to indicate that it's one of their favourites. Maybe they included it because they wanted the wider masses to hear it, and the people who wanted a physical release and not downloads etc.

No, unfortunately you can only buy iTunes downloads from your country's store, so I'm out of luck unless US iTunes gets their act together. I found that was actually a big complaint against iTunes that you can't purchase from iTunes stores in other countries. I've heard City is pretty B-side-ish, but I don't care. I'm a fan! ![](http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-022.gif)
