I just wanted to say, that I know it's different but I had to do Box Office pickup before and it was so easy I have considered doing it ever since to keep from losing/misplacing tickets on the way. Have a wonderful and safe gig everyone.

has anyone seen the setlist for this gig? found this on twitter yfrog.com/h0ov8etji'm not pleased with the setlist tbh ... i'm talking about the new songs there... where's "problem solved", for example? many people wanted to hear it live (when simon asked the tweeps to name their favourite new songs) don't care much about the rest dates, but i reeeally hope they change it for the moscow date

You should request it on twitter and I will support you (and hopefully every other boardie, even if we won't be there). But he won't know that.

Home now But both nights were amazing Got right down the front last night and got to meet all of them last night too really really happy and i don't think it'll ever sink in that i've met them, but still they're all even more lovely than i'd ever imagine. Learnt one thing though... Never trust Peanut with your pen if he's slightly drunk... And either him or Whitey still has my penlid and i have there's but i don't mind I even thought Frankie And The Heartstrings were pretty good too live

Reading this reminds me of the first time I met Chiefs and some boardies way back in 2007. Wow, how time flies! You should have given your pen to Nick or Ricky, they take good care of penlids as they did with mine back then. Awww, the memories. ;D

So come on guys, what do you make of the new songs live? Has it changed your opinions of the new songs? What things are the same? What things are different?
I know it probably seemed like it, but not everyone was there and those that weren't would like a little bit (ok a lot) more information.

Was very iffy on the new songs after a couple of listens to most of them but Little Shocks live is ace. Man On Mars is the only one that's worse live that I've heard so far although Peanut's keys do sound ace. And 'Kinda Girl You Are' is the best of the lot and that's not even one of the 20. It's being saved for the physical release.

i actually love man on mark and when all is quiet live and they aren't on my album... so isn't long way to celebration, but that is SO much better live
little shocks is predictably a great live song really impressed how 'full' starts with nothing sounds live
kinda girl you are is so catchy
and i LOVE the new intro
i'm not very eloquent today...

Little Shocks is very much a typical Kaisers song live, Ricky's voice on it is much better live, and the staging of that was much what I imagined, even to the jogging-on-the-spot bit in the middle.
The new songs do seem to slot quite well with the older ones, although what I really noticed was how much more technically difficult they seemed to be, Simon's hands were all over the fretboard! I think the only thing i'd say at the moment is it was very new-song heavy so its more difficult for a crowd to really get into it as much. That is something that will come in time.

Right, finally sat down after a mad day to have a proper think about it all, came to the conclusion that I really enjoyed both gigs, personally I thought the new stuff sounded ace live - most of which I hadn't heard properly yet so that was nice. At the end of the day I guess we've heard the oldies a fair few times, and of course it's always good to see/hear them (especially TMT ) but having a lot of new stuff to absorb during a reasonably short set was great. A bit risky maybe for the first timers that might have been in the crowd, but I was pretty happy about it myself. Little Shocks was actually quite awesome, gutted the sound didn't come out on my video, but had it on repeat a lot on the way back in the car. That one's sticking with me as my favourite at the moment. The lighting was good too. Man on Mars was fab, after only hearing the 1 min sample when trying to pick album tracks (which I think didn't do it justice), I was looking forward to hearing it when I got back (having finally had my email confirming my second album was ready for download finally, hoorah). It was a nice surprise to hear a new new track Kinda Girl You Are too. I liked their new intro, might have gone on just a bit too long, but the music is good. Loved Peanut's keyboard on When All Is Quiet. I could have sworn that they did I Dare You, but I must be losing my marbles as it's not on my pic of Caramel's setlist. Doh. I can see Dead Or In Serious Trouble staying on the setlist, it came across well, also Long Way From Celebrating - they're good solid Chiefy singalong tracks I think. But yeah, all in all, pretty happy about it all. Can we do it again please? edit: And how could I forget - chairs to sit on in the queue, underneath a covered walkway opposite the bar tent, and the venue a wander across the road. And a beach five mins walk away. And a lovely town and harbour down the road. What more could you want really?! And another and... the Chiefs looked well, smiley and happy. Which was good to see too.

I personally think the intro music is too long, its cutting into valuable playing time! Also, as they come in and start playing to it, it just ends up with me questioning how much of it is live. Its a minor quibble, really though

and queuing under the walkway didn't work out too well for you when the stewards let us wet ones go in the venue!
