Is good but I does not seem right that Nick left KC to form a new band

He'd run his course with KC, they can continue with new things and so can he. He didn't leave KC exclusively to form this new band though, it's just a "spare time" kind of thing for when he's not recording or writing.

He doesn't have to tour with this new band whereas with KC it's practically tied into it and even if he had stayed he'd be holding them back and they would be holding him back.

I'm trying to say that in the nicest way possible, meaning it's a good thing for everyone.
