Hello all 
Hope everyone's having a good summer...
If you can call it that
Been a fair few months since I posted...
My dad's passing and subsequent health problems hasn't exactly made me feel very sociable...
Am coming out the other side now though...
Things are starting to look up
Never made any of the gigs/concerts I'd got tickets for...
Disappointed obviously - but of all of them - absolutely gutted about The Rolling Stones
Seems like a lot has happened in the last 6 months or so...
High profile deaths...
Child abuse stories surfacing amongst all those 'celebrities' us older ones grew up with...
Though let's not forget the 'modern' and Ian Watkins. Don't get me started.
On a lighter note - can't say I've warmed to any of The Apprentice contenders this year...
Out of all of them, Miles is the only one who doesn't irritate me...
Thought Jason was lovely, but he was clearly never gonna be a finalist...
Can't stand any of the women with a passion...
I'm still a sad individual - still watching the soaps

Sill missing Derek 6 months on...
Lady Luck however was smiling down on me a little while back...
Won tix to a very special British Soap Awards...
The first one ever where us ordinary folk got to be in the audience and 'mingle' with the famous...
Absolutely insane night - met ridiculous amounts of soap stars...
Hehe - amongst others - had a lovely little chat with Steve John Shepherd (Michael Moon - EastEnders)...
What an absolutely lovely man; so friendly...
And yes girlies - he's just as fit close up!
Though way fitter by far imho is Emmett J Scanlan (Brendan Brady - Hollyoaks)...
Had a natter with him too; a very likeable young man with a lovely demeanour...
My night was made though when I met Jamie Foreman (Derek Branning - EastEnders). ;D ;D ;D
As I may have mentioned once or twice in the past
, I absolutely adore him...
To meet him face to face was just amazing...
Couldn't believe it when I saw him there in front of me...
No idea where my nerve came from; just knew I had to go up and talk to him...
He remembered me and the letter I'd sent to him and was just so kind and complimentary...
Felt a bit chuffed after that. 
A completely surreal experience and to say it made me happy is an understatement. ;D
So what has everyone else been up to...?
