Tour Dates, Q Awards, Sky TV, Recording Plans
Hello Everyone,
We've got a load going on over the next few months, so it's time to talk.
We're shooting the video this week for KINDA GIRL YOU ARE, this track will be available digitally for the first time during November, the video features cameos from Lady GaGa, Beyonce, and Britney Spears. Watch out for it. In the meantime, here's a clip of KINDA GIRL YOU ARE live for BBC Radio 1, at Maida Vale Studios, in London.
Next Friday, Oct 21st two things going on: we're playing a SOLD OUT London show as part of the Q Awards 2011 gigs, at London's Forum.
Joining us as special guest supports will be The Duke Spirit and Spector. Also, Ricky's on the 1st episode of The Jo Whiley Music Show on Sky Arts (Fri 21st - 10pm) and repeated Sky One (Sun 23rd), on the sofa chatting with Noel Gallagher & Julian Lennon.
Then in the following week, surprisingly for a band that's already recorded and released 25 songs this year, we're heading back into the studio to make that 26.
We're going to British Grove Studio in West London where we worked earlier this year on much of THE FUTURE IS MEDIEVAL with Ethan Johns, but this time to work with our good friend Stephen Street again on a brand new song. We haven't worked with Stephen since YOURS TRULY, ANGRY MOB and EMPLOYMENT, and very much look forward to it.
We started our most extensive European Tour last week with some brilliant shows in the Baltics, thanks to everyone who came and made us feel so at home.
The tour continues with shows in Spain and Portugal at the end of October and throughout November. Joining us on all dates as main support except the radio festival in Germany for NRJ on November 5th, and the shows in Spain & Portugal, will be Tribes.
For all tickets for European shows, please see the gigs page on our website, here: www.kaiserchiefs.com/tour. For all tickets for UK shows, please click here.
