I'm "planning and scheming"a mini-trip to London for the Hammersmith gig, so if anyone has a spare ticket, please let me know. It's the only date I can possibly plan, as it's during my winter break. I also need to find a cheap accomodation, so any tip is welcome as well ! Edit: mini-trip is officially my Christmas present, so I'll be in London from Feb 22nd to 24th ! Yepee !! Tips for a nice and cheap hotel or B&B still welcome !

Got 2 tickets to Hammersmith for Xmas! ;D Definitely wearing my Things Change top. Support also looks good. I've listened to Hunger by Frankie, and Swimmhaus Johannesburg and Crystals by Fixers. Didn't like Crystals too much, though.

I think it's best I don't give you any advice on where to stay in London, as I think describing where we stayed as a prison is a major compliment. AndBounce, Frankie & Heartstrings are mint.

I listened to Frankie & Heartstrings and really liked it, I think I'm going to enjoy that night in Apollo ! BTW I found a nice B&B for the old lady that I am not far from the venue... Is anyone planning to meet before the gig?

Haven't got time to write things up properly, at my Mum's but I think everyone is in for a treat, Llandudno and Reading were both ace, cannot wait for Southend tonight now Setlist from Reading : t.co/kfMcFDU (if that works?) Llandudno was the same except we had Put Me On The Cover of Your Magazine not Na Na Na Na Naa On The Run is amazing live in my opinion Really really been a good two nights, though did get absolutely battered in Llandudno and still paying for it! Anyway will post properly next week Oh and can I just say.....Dire Straits!!!!! omg got me more excited than anything! Took me right back!

It works, sounds amazing. Hope they do Put Me on the Cover of your Magazine at one of the gigs I'm doing. Also Club Smith used to be The Hair who supported chiefs 2008/9 ish? Am I the only person who did not know this at all?!

They did Magazine? I had no idea they performed Parva songs anymore. Now I really can't wait for the 23rd (seems so much further away now, as well )...

Does anyone going to one of the earlier gigs and Hammersmith fancy getting me a tea-towel from merch in case they run out? Please! I'll give you the dosh when I get the tea towel obviously. Sorry, do you still want one? Thought I'd better check just in case someone else has picked you one up in the meantime? Let me know as I'll be going Thursday night. Just a bit about Southend, was a cracking night. Loved On The Run - that was the business, top notch. I'm glad I didn't listen to previews etc. beforehand and waited to hear it live as it was bloody amazing and well worth the wait. Although Whitey singing a couple of lines of ' Love On The Run' with his arms in the air, outside after the gig, was clearly way better. Supports were good, I've always loved The Hair/Club Smith as they are now, so it was brilliant to see them again. Even if they didn't put their beer in my car boot, meanies. Listened to their EP (£2 and signed - grab one if you get the chance) on the way home, good stuff. Lovely lads too. All The Young were good, but I have to say their lead singer grated on me a bit. Bit cocky maybe and as for the sunglasses.... hmm... but the nod to The Cult's She Sells Sanctuary during their first (very long) outro was good. Nice crowd, great mix of people of all ages which was good to see. Ended up barrier between Whitey and Ricky which was great, really took me back seeing them come out to Money For Nothing. Although I do kinda miss Howlaround too. Chiefs were probably the best I've seen them, they seem to just get better and better. Outside afterwards Nick mentioned their 'other new song', a boardie said they'd heard them play it during soundcheck at Reading, so I'm hoping that'll maybe appear on the setlist before the end of the tour... preferably at a gig I'm going to be at, ha! No Parva unfortunately and no Jago, which is a shame, but always love LNAC and Learnt My Lesson Well was ace. Same setlist as Reading, which I thought worked well. EDILYLAL NMAB Little Shocks EIAN GDBD - nice to hear it, but Jago would have been better LMLW MW Problem Solved Ruby Angry Mob Na naa Starts With Nothing <3 IPAR Kinda Girl You Are TMT On The Run // LNAC OMG Bought my vinyl, which really is very beautiful. I'm thinking of it as a 25th gig souvenir. All in all a top night and a smashing day too, for so many reasons. Drove all the way home with a silly daft smile on my face. And TWO SLEEPS. Just thought I'd add that in. ;D

Lovely Sal, thanks. I do like Money for Nothing, but Howlaround really got me giddy with excitement. Not that I won't be anyway. And I've just noticed, Sal you are now a forum God. *Bows down*

I'm quite sad I'm missing them in Guildford (so much closer than Hammersmith) - seeing everyone talking about the tour and me seeing them on the last date is absolute torture for me.

I had such a good time at Southend. I loved the venue! I missed the first support but saw All The Young who I thought were okay, but man the songs seemed to go on forever! The Chiefs were incredible as always. Though my mum did say that she thought Ricky looked tired, she was worried about how busy the tour schedule is. Bless her! I quite missed hearing howlaround too Sal. I did love the mix up in the set list. I can't get enough of the live version of LNAC, it's so much better than the cd version. It was also a nice surprise to get LMLW. I'm really looking forward to the Hammersmith show, though I'm desperate to do more shows inbetween!lol! I think this was my most enjoyable KC show, and I've done a few. I had such a laugh with people I went with, and to top it off-Ricky caught my eye and smiled! Oh yeah!!lol! I really wanted to hang around after but didn't. How long did you have to wait for the chiefs-or didn't they come out?

Nice one They did come out yes, on their way to the tour bus they stopped and chatted to us for a while which was lovely. I know what you mean, I started thinking about other dates I could fit in on top of the ones I've already got tickets for, while in the queue at Southend!

Thanks for the reviews Sal and chiefleanne. Sounds like another great Chiefs gig! One of the things I like when reading reviews is seeing the setlist. (Parva/no Parva, new songs, old songs they haven't played in years, etc.) You just don't know what you're gonna hear!

It's exciting not knowing what they're going to play, would be ace to hear some Parva at some point though as I never thought I'd see them perform any of that material live. Fingers crossed. Sounds amazing Sal and chiefleanne! Great reviews. :0) And Sal, so jealous you got to meet them! Any photos? I look like a right numpty!

Last night was amazing at Guildford. The set list was the same as the Southend one. Overall great night. I really enjoyed both Club Smith and All They Young more than i thought i would and can't wait to see them again on Saturday too. Met both bands too, were really friendly afterwards Kaisers were top as usual. I missed Howlaround ;( but it was really nice to hear Learnt My Lesson Well live. On The Run was definitely one of my fave songs of the night. Really, really love it and i can't wait for it to be released! Ricky was really energetic as usual and ran up and joined the seated people telling them "they had the best seats in the house". This ended with him falling down the stairs with some barrier thing, i think he wasn't hurt and carried on fine, using the barrier as a stage prop for whenever he opened it we were prompted to make noise. After waiting afterwards literally until my toes felt like they'd fall off cause it was so cold, met Nick and Whitey and they were lovely as usual first thing Nick said to me this time was "*pointing* Front Row". I'm happy he recognised me ;D Definitely my favourite gig out of all the times i've seen them Also Hi to Whitey if he sees this cause he said he'd pay a visit to this forum as "he never knew it was here"
