Hi everyone! Me and friends went to see the Chiefs last Friday. The gig was fantastic, the crowd was the worst ever. In the afternoon we met Peanut, he was so friendly and nice to us. Then we stood outside the venue listening to the soundcheck which lasted for almost an hour! They played Bows and Arrows and well as other songs/jams we've never heard before! The show was at a yearly university party thing and most of the crowd was teenagers/students who were drunk out ot their minds. In the first 4 or 5 songs there was an "acceptable" amount of pushing but then things got out of control and it became a battle for survival. There were only 3 security guys and they weren't enough to rescue everyone who needed to leave from the crowd. At one point this guy fell on the floor in the space between the barriers and the stage, and it was Ricky who helped him get up! Even a security from KC team was helping because 3 security guys were obviously not enough! Ignoring the violence of the crowd, the concert was superb, they played Like It Too Much and Heat Dies Down which were wonderful treats, as was Bows and Arrows which sounds outstanding! Thank you Kaiser Chiefs for another amazing show! ♥♥♥♥♥ (As for the university event itself, I'll make sure I'm never ever coming back.)
