I had such a good time at Southend. I loved the venue! I missed the first support but saw All The Young who I thought were okay, but man the songs seemed to go on forever! The Chiefs were incredible as always. Though my mum did say that she thought Ricky looked tired, she was worried about how busy the tour schedule is. Bless her! I quite missed hearing howlaround too Sal. I did love the mix up in the set list. I can't get enough of the live version of LNAC, it's so much better than the cd version. It was also a nice surprise to get LMLW. I'm really looking forward to the Hammersmith show, though I'm desperate to do more shows inbetween!lol! I think this was my most enjoyable KC show, and I've done a few. I had such a laugh with people I went with, and to top it off-Ricky caught my eye and smiled! Oh yeah!!lol! I really wanted to hang around after but didn't. How long did you have to wait for the chiefs-or didn't they come out? Nice one They did come out yes, on their way to the tour bus they stopped and chatted to us for a while which was lovely. I know what you mean, I started thinking about other dates I could fit in on top of the ones I've already got tickets for, while in the queue at Southend! Thank you Modflower, Modernway and Sal! I do think I'm a bad fan, I've just realised! I'm so selfish, I can't wait to see the guys on tour, and would love as many dates as poss. I don't really think about how tiring it must be. Whereas my mum was concerned over there welfare!lol! Oh forget to add-I really enjoyed 'On The Run'. ;D Modernway-that is so sweet that Whitey even admitted he didn't know we existed!lol!

Also Hi to Whitey if he sees this cause he said he'd pay a visit to this forum as "he never knew it was here" How dare he! I'm sure I mentioned it to him, or at least someone did in Falmouth. I hope you gave him the link. Maybe someone should make a couple of posters a la our personalised TFIM ones, for each gig, but with the forum link on the bottom instead of the KC website. Stick them on the door as you walk in!

I had no idea he never knew it was here, my mum mentioned it to him and he was telling me he never knew it was here, i don't know whether he was playing ignorant but i doubt it by the way he said it. I thought someone had mentioned it to him at Falmouth too. I also told him exactly how to get here cause he asked and if i meet him again this tour i'll write the link down and give it to him. The posters sound like a good idea too!

I was tempted to take 'my' album poster to get signed. I was proud of it.haha. I know the others know we exist saw it mentioned on Twitter a few times. Whitey doesn't seem to be into all the Twitter and web stuff though. Bless him.

I do have photos yes, lovely ones of Nick, Whitey & Peanut, but way too embarrassing of me to post on here. I look like a right numpty! [/quote] Numpty! Sal - I've never heard that before but now what you mean! Love it - I think I look a right numpty in most photos I'm in! ;D

lol, Numpty is my middle name Well Derby - what can I say? They played their 'second' new song, 'Listen To Your Head'.... wow. An instant like from me. And since finding a video on YouTube of them playing it at Birmingham, can't stop listening to it. Really cannot wait to hear both new songs live again, they blew me away. Blew the bloody doors off, as they say. I didn't think they could top Southend, but they did. Like they're throwing everything they have into it and look like they're enjoying every minute. Not that they didn't before I'm sure, but... ah I know what I mean! And from what I've heard, and seen on Twitter, everyone seems to think they're better than ever. Been nice seeing people getting so excited over seeing them, and their comments after gigs. The crowd were great again, met a lovely couple in the queue who ended up next to me on the barrier (I like that, always nice to meet new people at gigs) and Roger's daughter, who was smashing. Setlist was: EDILYLAL NMAB Little Shocks EIAN GDBD (maybe Heat Dies Down would be good here, mainly because I'd really love to hear that again) LMLW (again, yes again, yay) MW On The Run Ruby Angry Mob Na Naa Starts With Nothing IPAR Kinda Girl TMT Listen to Your Head (defo my new favourite song) /// LNAC OMG Club Smith were are brill as usual, really going to miss them as my next gig is Blackpool. The Fixers were ok, liked them but maybe a bit samey. Maybe they'll grow on me. All in all yet again came away really happy, chuffed to bits with the direction the new stuff is going... just a happy bunny. Roll on Blackpool. SIX SLEEPS! ;D

Plymouth was brilliant on Saturday, loved Listen To Your Head too. Nice surprise to hear that. Rare i like a song on first listen too For a moment i thought they were gonna play Saturday Night, cause Ricky said Nananananaa is about Saturday nights. Tease. Still, glad to hear Nananananaa back in the set this year Too many "kids" in the audience who didn't really know who they were/know many of the songs though. Especially the fight over Rickys drum stick. There were even people complaining it was "too loud" lol :S Whitey seemed extra active that night too, i mean he moved around alot more than he did at Guildford and even seemed alot more smiley than he was there I thought Club Smith were even better that night too wish i was seeing them instead of All The Young in Portsmouth though ;( Also can't wait til Blackpool too, will be nice to go back home home too and see Kaisers. Frankie + The Heartstrings + Kaisers in one night again. Gonna be amazing! (Native Tongue sound pretty good from what i've heard too.)

Amazing gig last night in Blackpool. Probably my fave of the ones i've been to on this tour so far! Was great to hear On The Run,not once, but twice! Feel really lucky for that, and the fact we could be in the vid for it. Was also nice to hear Put Me On The Cover Of Your Magazine live too! Listen To Your Head still sounds great too.(and the rest of course!) Wasn't Impressed by Native Tongue at all. Read Lips was good but apart from that i thought they were a bit meh. It didn't work. Enjoyed Frankie And The Heartstrings. Wasn't as good as Falmouth. Not enough of their "bigger" songs or ones off their album, Hunger and Photograph made their performance though Nice to meet Peanut, Nick and Ricky again ;D ended up having a tug of war with Peanut and a pen, i suppose more of a cracker pulling thing though. Always end up with pen incidents and Peanut haha. Shame that the sticks of rock never came to Simons side of the stage ;( Overall top night though EDILYLAL NMAB Little Shocks(slightly longer first chorus from Ricky ) EIAN GDBD Put Me On The Cover Of Your Magazine Modern Way On The Run Ruby The Angry Mob Nananananaa SWN IPAR Kinda Girl You Are Take My Temperature Listen To Your Head // On The Run LNAC(BIW) OMG

A lot of fun, my favourite of the tour so far too, although I know I've said that every time. Each one seems to top the last, so I can't wait to see what Sheffield will bring tomorrow night. Very bouncy floor, to the point where I didn't have to exert much effort to jump - I was standing on a barrier join so when Sam & Alex jumped either side of me, it flexed and propelled me into the air! It was so funny, just like a mini trampoline. Weird feeling, but such a laugh. Laughed throughout, very happy smiley gig. ;D Chiefs sounded so bloody good again, I remember saying at one point that I didn't want the gig to end. So them playing On The Run for a second time (for the music video filming) was a real treat. Could get used to that! So nice having a three song encore too, the gig felt a lot longer somehow. And....... PARVA. Over the moon that they played Put Me On The Cover Of Your Magazine. That made my night. ;D Frankie & The Heartstrings are brill, always look forward to seeing them, they get better every time too. Chuffed they're supporting Chiefs a few more times. Can't wait. Native Tongue were smashing, they sounded good. With a bit more practice they'll be a great live band I think. But the sticks of Kaiser Chiefs Souvenir rock given out at the end by Ricky & Peanut were a lovely touch. I saw a pic tweeted by Simon earlier in the day and thought that maybe they were selling them at the gig, but they handed them out to the crowd. Unfortunately numpty me reared its head and carried on clapping while holding it, so it now looks a lot like this... *slaps head* Bingo, pirate ride (arrrrrrrr), Fleetwood fish & chips, champagne, renditions of Son Of A Preacher Man.... Thanks everyone.

Well just agree with what everyone has already said. Had such a laugh in the queue with some starbursts of all things. Met some lovely lovely people. The girl next to me at the barrier (Laura) was lovely, was bizzare that we were both training to be teachers and in the fourth year of our course, so time flew by cos we had lots to talk about. Native Tongue surprised me, in a good way. Lead signer reminded me of Jarvis Cocker, for a new(ish) band there was some catchy songs and liked how they moved around the stage, because sometimes when the lead singer just stands still I seem to zone out a bit. Frankie & The Heartstrings, so so good and from my home town, of course they had to be mint! Kaisers, just wow. Finally got the chance to listen to Put Me On The Cover, Listen to your Head and On The Run (twice!) did not want the gig to end, the bouncy floor was great. The lads had loads of energy, which surprised me because if I had to do that almost every night, I'd be knackered. Had just the most perfect night. 1 gig down 4 to go. The DJ set, that turned out not to be a DJ set, turned out to be a canny laugh. Good to just have a drink and a natter. Can't wait till Newcastle now!

Well Sheffield was fun! First hot sweaty gig of the tour, although I'm hurting all over today. Shouted 'argh' as I got out of bed this morning, got bruises all over the place, but hey! Really enjoyed Native Tongue (liked them a lot in Blackpool, but they were better last night which was good to see, like they're more relaxed on stage and gaining in confidence) and Frankie & The Heartstrings were bloody fantastic as usual. Their guitarist Michael is brilliant, Dave on drums too. They've got a huge energy about them. Supports on this tour have been great and each time I've looked forward to seeing them. Chiefs were again fab - Peanut coming over to the front of the stage to start the clapping for Modern Way and Simon & Whitey trying to stop him getting back to his keyboards, so Peanut put his stool in front of Simon's mic. Simon then sat down to play for a bit! Whitey's Snooker Theme Tune addition to the instrumental part of TMT was ace, and then Nick joining in. Wonder if the rest of the band knew he was going to do it, as they all seemed to laugh. ;D Long Way From Celebrating.... wow. I've missed that so much, shame I fluffed up the words, but it was so nice to hear that again. Still enjoying OTR and Listen To Your Head - took a little video of LTYH as I'm trying to figure out the words so I can sing along properly, as it's a lot more fun that way. Great to hear people behind singing along with the new songs, word for word. Lots of jumping for Little Shocks & Long Way too which was good to see. Starts With Nothing never ceases to amaze me, it has to be said. I'm sure they play it slightly faster live, what with that and the lights, it's magical. So yeah, all in all a brilliant night. Jumped around when I could, which wasn't often as I was penned in a bit - slight issues with a couple of idiots throughout, but not about to let them spoil what was otherwise a fantastic night. Can't wait until Manchester, really looking forward to each gig so much. Going to seem strange once this tour is all over with.

Newcastle last night, was really good. Setlist: EDILYLAL NMAB Little Shocks EIAN GDBD Long Way from Celebrating! Modern Way OTR Ruby Angry Mob Na Na Na... Starts With Nothing IPAR Kinda Girl.. TMT Listen To Your Head // LNAC OMG So ended up barrier far Simon and Peanut Side, (with a view of the speakers straight ahead) Fixers were okay, it seemed as though I enjoyed their first few songs but then lost interest by the end. Will have to see them again to make a proper judgement. Frankie et al were great as usual, was funny as they told the crowd they were from Tyne & Wear rather than Sunderland, just because of the local rivalry. I think the crowd were a bit disappointing as they wouldn't even dance or jump for them, the bores. Then lads were on top form as usual, crowd didn't move much until Modern Way really which was a shame, but it didn't stop me dancing around and jumping what felt like by myself. However, when the crowd were into it they were really responsive, the clapping with Peanut was the loudest I'd heard. No one's hands were down by that point. Great to hear Long Way From Celebrating, don't think I've heard it live before, and it was really good to dance along to. Ricky couldn't get up to the Balcony, so ran and stood on the side bar during TMT, and got two Blue VKs off the bar lady, he had a taste and pulled a face then after being egged on by the crowd, downed it. (he later took the other one and put it on Nicks drums) During TMT there were people on the Balcony standing up for a closer look at Ricky on the bar, security kept telling them off, Nick noticed this and said well if you all stand up at the same time they can't tell you to sit down - so they did! But the security walked in front of every row to make them all sit back down. Which is why I think the chiefs were a bit annoyed. Listen To Your Head, is such a fab song, Ricky was introducing it saying you've not heard it before, and (louder than I should have *doh*) said I have. They heard and Ricky said well you better sing along because you should know the words then. I can do the chorus, and the first verse but otherwise lost. Encore was slightly marred by some absolute **** end throwing a pint straight at Whitey, covered the whole of his guitar and all of the pedals. Ricky thought it was hilarious, Whitey rightly so was really annoyed. He stood off the stage for the rest of the encore, partly because a roadie had to wipe down all the pedals in case something went wrong I suppose. Otherwise great gig and was still on a high this morning, woke up extremely early to talk about it with my Mam. Halfway through my gigs now, really do not want this tour to end.

I can do the chorus, and the first verse but otherwise lost. Well, in that case, I do happen to have put down (most of) the lyrics here: lyrics.wikia.com/Kaiser_Chiefs:Listen_To_Your_HeadStill missing most of the third verse, though. If anyone else could contribute the remaining lyrics, much appreciated.

Its amazing how easy to wind up security is. I'm mates with someone who works for Showsec and did the gig last night, the Facebook update about it is quite amusing. I pointed out that Chiefs haven't moaned before about security so something must have been different and it might not have been the balcony thing and I get a lecture on gig security!
Kind of wish I hadn't tried to defend Chiefs at all now though, nothing quite like getting jumped at for a logical comment.

Strange? I think you'll be having withdrawal symptoms Sal!! Another great review - anticipation levels are rising for me!! Thank you. Yes, although I've got other gigs lined up that I'm really looking forward to, it won't be the same - this tour's been such a laugh for so many reasons. Maybe I'll have to start doing a few Chiefs gigs abroad. During TMT there were people on the Balcony standing up for a closer look at Ricky on the bar, security kept telling them off, Nick noticed this and said well if you all stand up at the same time they can't tell you to sit down - so they did! But the security walked in front of every row to make them all sit back down. Which is why I think the chiefs were a bit annoyed. Fair enough, that does sound pretty ridiculous. Maybe it's down to the venue more than security themselves, but still, bloody jobsworths. Bloody hell, got really angry reading that - I'm getting more and more fed up with how people behave at gigs. I copped some mysterious liquid thrown at the back of my head at Derby, it's horrible. Especially when you don't know what it is... I heard about someone throwing a full can of lager at Vijay, the drummer from Club Smith, which hit him on the head while he was playing. What sort of twat throws stuff like that around, let alone at people on stage. Not only is it dangerous and must really bloody hurt when it hits you, but with liquid around all that electrical equipment. For feck's sake. Morons.

I can't believe the difference in security at different venues, in Blackpool the security was getting us to sing along and there was no problem with the people on the balcony standing up. Sal, same here, I don't see why you would pay to see a band and then throw stuff at them. Plebs. It could actually cause some canny damage eyes/electrics all sorts.

Maybe the venues should put chicken wire around the stage, like that scene in the Blues Brothers movie, where they play the country-western bar. You're welcome peeps. Well if only the security had put that around the balcony then they might of let people stand up! The review I just posted seems to think that it was the bar thing that the chiefs weren't happy with but the security seemed fine with it and had it all organised so two or three could get him through the crowds.
